What are the meanings of the properties fields in Removable Storage Management?

Permission Explanations:

  1. Read:the removable devices have the right of read only, cannot write any files to those devices. If the document is encrypted by IP-guard, this document cannot be read
  1. Read + Decrypt when Reading: the removable devices have the right of read only, cannot write any files to those devices. If the document is encrypted by IP-guard, this document can beread
  1. Read + Write: the removable devices have the right of Reading files but there is no right to read the encrypted file; Also, with the right of writing files to those devices but there is no right to encrypt the files. In other words, those files can read properly.
  1. Read + Write + Encrypt when writing: the removable devices have the rights of Reading and Writing, also the written files are encrypted automatically but there is no right to read the decrypted files
  1. Read + Write + Decrypt when reading:
the removable devices have the right of Reading and Writing, also the encrypted file can be decrypted automatically but there is no right to encrypt the files

  1. Read + Write + Encrypt when writing + Decrypt when reading:
-          With all above functions.

-          should be able to prohibit to copy any files under cmd

  1. None selected
-          Case 1: if the device is inserted after the policy applied, you still can see the removable devices appear in your computer but cannot access

-          Case 2: if the device is inserted and opened before the policy applied, then it may not be controlled in this case

In our testing, we will arrange 2 computers installed with agent. One of them will assign Read + Decrypt when Reading rights and another one will assign Write + Encrypt when writing to see the actual results compared with the above expected results.
