Printing: Prohibit Use of Printer

Ø In IP-guard V2.84, users can disable the printing function in Disable Device windows (see Figure 1). There are 2 type of printer: Local printers & Network printers, once the printers type is disabled, no printing job can be done on the agent computer.

Ø In IP-guard V3, the prohibit use of printer is controlled by policy, each policy can have different properties such as: Time and Application (see Figure 2). So by using different combination of policies, user can control the printing resources efficiently. Also, the controllable printer is increased to 4 types: Local Printer, Shared Printer, Network Printer and Virtual Printer.
